Last week, my pal and I were in the middle of a heat wave, plus not even the air conditioner was helping to cool us off; My friend and I talked about going to the pool, however there were so many people there, there was laying room only.
- My kids wanted to go to the Big Sioux River, then they had read you could rent kayaks there… I kind of balked at $60 per lady rental fee, although I would have paid the same price for an amusement park, plus the kids wouldn’t have been on or in the water all afternoon.
I told them to gather their sunglasses, hats, plus sunscreen, plus my pal and I headed to where the kayak rental was, and now, my pal and I had a problem, but our child wanted the rest up paddle board, however my wife wanted the pedal boat. I told them they had to all choose the same thing, or no one was going on the water. My friend and I opted for a raft, so my pal and I could all go together. The staff could set up a route for us that could be accessed by raft. Our route took us down the Big Sioux River, plus through downtown Sioux Falls. It was hot, however the water was soothing plus my pal and I had our hands or legs in the water most of the time. The entire experience was fun, plus my pal and I didn’t need to focus on our route, however just on having fun. I know I balked at the price, however it was particularly worth it when my pal and I all got off the river plus were laughing. Our youngest child fell in the water, plus my pal and I had to fish him out. Other than that, there were no sunburns, plus it helped to beat the heat.
