Last week, my associate and I were in the middle of a heat wave, & not even the air conditioning was helping to cool us off, however my friend and I talked about going to the pool, however there were so several people there, there was standing room only. My youngsters wanted to go to the Big Sioux River, they had study you could rent kayaks there, then i kind of balked at $60 per person rental fee, although I would have paid the same price for an amusement park, & the youngsters wouldn’t have been on or in the water all day. I told them to gather their sunglasses, hats, & sunscreen, & my associate and I headed to where the kayak rental was! Now, my associate and I had a problem; Our son wanted the rest up paddle board, however my wife wanted the pedal boat. I told them they had to all choose the same thing, or no one was going on the water. My friend and I opted for a raft, so my associate and I could all go together. The staff could set up a route for us that could be accessed by raft. Our route took us down the Big Sioux River, & through downtown Sioux Falls. It was hot, however the water was soothing & my associate and I had our hands or legs in the water most of the time. The entire experience was fun, & my associate and I didn’t need to focus on our route, however just on having fun. I know I balked at the price, however it was legitimately worth it when my associate and I all got off the river & were laughing. Our youngest son fell in the water, & my associate and I had to fish him out. Other than that, there were no sunburns, & it helped to beat the heat.
