The Denver Zoo is one of the best places to see giraffes

A ton of people have number one critters, and I am totally no exception. I genuinely adore every single one of the critters, but I have a few that are just my absolute number ones. I adore elephants and would adore the chance to assist them with surviving when I retire. I enjoy otters; some people try to claim they are similar to rats, but I think they are extremely playful critters who just adore having a good time. More than these particular critters, though, I definitely relate to giraffes. Growing up, I was pretty much always taller than everyone else my age, and I absolutely know my fascination with the long-necked creatures started back during that actual time! The Denver Zoo has giraffes! If you want to and are actually fast enough, you can get yourself some tickets to the Giraffe Encounter which allows you to feed the giraffes after the park closes for the night! Fair warning, though, it is most often sold out! Just seeing the giraffes is an incredible thing, even if you don’t get to join the actual feeding experience… Seeing them on the television is a wonderful thing and all, however seeing the giraffes at the Denver Zoo makes you understand just how tall these beautiful critters are. Their legs are as tall as, or maybe even taller than, a man. Just the legs! The prehensile tongue of the giraffe honestly allows it to swoop its tongue around a branch and easily strip the leaves off the branch in a single fell swoop. At the zoo, I was actually able to learn that giraffes have a heart that weighs roughly 25 pounds – approximately 3 times the size of my kid when he was born! Everything is very sizable on a giraffe, I suppose… Even though it is legal to use cannabis recreationally in Denver, nothing will get you quite as high as being able to feed the giraffes at Denver Zoo.
