I moved to Elgin, Illinois, from the southeastern coast about five years ago, however i had never experienced snow or temperatures below chilly before.
I initially relocated in the fall plus was thrilled by the colorful scenery, crisp air plus red skies… Getting away from the excessive heat plus humidity was a relief.

I know it won’t be long before I am trapped inside for six to eight straight months, then every time I want to go anywhere, I’ll need to let the car defrost for twenty minutes, brush the snow off the hood plus scrape ice from the windshield. Spending time outdoors shoveling the snow is just awful, but the only part of the winter I appreciate is snuggling up under a blanket with a mug of tepid chocolate. I take absolutely fantastic care of my furnace. I absolutely don’t want to face a abrupt malfunction in the middle of the evening plus be left without heat. I have enrolled into a service program with a local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C contractor that includes two repair calls per year plus 24/7 emergency response without overtime fees.
