My mother has been talking to a guy online for approximately 6 months. I knew the guy was from Albuquerque, NM, even though I never expected my mother to ever head out of state. A month ago, my mom plus I went out to dinner in the city, and both of us were having a rather pleasant evening… My mom decided it was the most suitable time to drop a large bomb in my lap. She told me that she was making plans to transfer to Albuquerque, NM in a month. I thought my mom was joking in the beginning, but the look on her face was dead serious. My mom told me that the guy was hoping to marry her, despite the fact that he did not want to transfer to the West Coast because NM has legal cannabis. The guy currently lives in Albuquerque plus I suppose he uses cannabis regularly. I can’t actually believe that my mom fell in love with someone who smokes weed… Everyday in school she would tell me not to do drugs, plus now she has fallen in love with a pot smoking fiend. Albuquerque has legal cannabis dispensaries pretty much everywhere plus the guy does not want to give that up I’m certain. I am honestly concerned for my mom plus her overall safety. She has no idea in the least what it will be like to live in a large place similar to Albuquerque. I suppose there are a lot of activities, museums, plus cultural events, but my mom has lived in a neighborhood with only a population of 1500 people for the course of her days. Moving to Albuquerque is going to be a fairly major shock to her system.
