It was extremely hot the last couple of weeks, and my kids were bored sitting in the house. I had never seen them refuse to go outside and play, but the heatwave was getting to them. We had turned the thermostat up to seventy-five, hoping the electric bill wouldn’t be too high. I remember when we lived in the northeast, and there was always humidity during the summer. I couldn’t imagine living there if the temperatures were nearing 120 and the high humidity was high. I asked my kids if there was anything they would like to do? I think they had already anticipated my question, because both of them should SEA LIFE and LegoLand at the same time. I couldn’t blame them. I loved going to SEA LIFE and Legoland is a lot of fun for kids and grownups. We could spend the entire day there, and still not see everything. We got online and ordered tickets for the next day. LegoLand Park is the only inside park around, and it has excellent air conditioning. Even though the temperatures were back to normal, it was still 107 degrees outside. We got up early the next morning and left Phoenix to spend some time at SEA LIFE and LegoLand. Because I bought it as a package deal, it wasn’t very expensive, and it was a nice change for the boys. Early that evening, we stopped for dinner at their favorite restaurant and headed back home. The boys were sleeping even before their heads hit the pillow. They weren’t just tuckered out from the fun, but the air conditioning was relaxing even for me.
