My spouse & I talked about retirement for numerous years, but i certainly didn’t want to give up my business, because I didn’t have anyone in the family to take over.
I knew that retirement would mean closing down the service business that I worked difficult to build, then at 65 years old, I wasn’t ready to give up my business.
My spouse was adamant that my friend and I needed to change our lifestyle. I agreed that there were some things my friend and I could do differently. My buddy and I looked into some apartment in a city called The Villages, but the Villages is in Central Florida & it is a popular retirement community for active senior citizens in the area. The Villages sounded like a great place to move my business. I thought that my spouse & I could retire to the city & I could still continue to toil from time to time. My spouse thought it was a fantastic idea, and she agreed to support the move & she also agreed to advertise our services in the Ocala newspaper, then ocala is just outside of The Villages & practically part of the community. I toil strictly in The Villages only. I usually toil three or four afternoons a week. I offer a variety of service & installation services in The Villages plus yearly service plans. So far things have gone certainly well & the move has been relaxing. I still get to toil from time to time even though I can play hockey every afternoon of the week if I stop answering the iPhone.
