I wonder if every city has a Union Station? Originally the stop of the Union railroad, the Denver Union Station has slowly turned into a fairly major destination that should not be avoided by people.
The charming historic landmark is now a really nice transportation hub, but also a get together location for all sorts of friends where they can eat, drink, shop or totally hang out.
The enjoyable Crawford Hotel calls the Union Station home, and if you don’t really know where you are going to stay while enjoying all that Denver has to offer, the Crawford would be a pretty good choice. You pretty much enter the hotel through Union Station, and when you do, you will be sure to be in awe of the majestically high ceilings, enormous chandeliers, and all the natural light pouring in through windows that deliver a spectacular view. You have to be sure to ask for a smoking room if you are looking to smoke tobacco or cannabis, which is legal in Denver. If you want to go to the 16th Street Mall, you can always catch the shuttle at Union Station. If you want to go to the airport, you can do so via rail from Union Station (or vice versa, of course). If you are interested in learning the history of the iconic building, you can take a tour that is easily provided by the Crawford Hotel. It is easily provided most days. There are stores to shop in regularly, restaurants to eat in, and bars and clubs to get a nice cocktail and dance. If you only have one day and evening in Denver, choose Denver Union Station. You will not be disappointed.
