Fortunately I didn’t need my twin brother to have a great time in Las Vegas. I got back to the hotel room just after dawn, and Jimmy was still seeing TV and smoking cannabis.

My central heating keeps me comfortable

One of our favorite things I enjoy doing is to go to the cherry bottom festival in DC! And luckily, I live in Waldorf Maryland which means D.C. is less than 30 miles away, however in fact, Waldorf is considered a suburb of D.C. so the two of us are just outside the limits of the capital. Anyway, the cherry blossoms are consistently blooming around from the end of March to mid-May, however by far, the blooms are the prettiest thing about D.C, and of course, the buildings are unbelievable as well, & if you’re a history buff, you’ll love it, however the weather in Waldorf has been like a roller coaster, so I am not sure how that will impact the cherry blossoms, however for instance, today it’s about 35 degrees for the high, which means I am currently using our central heating, but in the next few afternoons, it will hot up to the mid-60s, so I won’t need to have our central heating running with the temperature that high outside. But looking at the forecast, after the weekend, the weather will drop again & the forecast is also calling for some snow. Of course, at that point, I will turn on our central heating again… Lately, the weather has been so odd that it has gotten difficult to method outings. If it’s too chilly outside, I prefer to remain at home, cozying up on our sofa with a fantastic book. It frequently warms up to wear the snow melts and leaves a wet residue. Then the evening gets cold and freezes, however what is worse is that if snow follows there is a bunch of hidden black ice. It can be super dangerous driving in the area. I remember driving my automobile to University at Buffalo and the weather was -22 degrees. That was a official Wintertide day for us! You just learn how to dress in our area. You can have no exposed skin, but have you seen the movie Fargo where the guy has his hood wrapped so narrow around his face he is just a nose? Well that is how you dress in our area. You can’t go outside without a scarf, gloves and a hat. You need thermal gear and waterproof boots. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. I cannot imagine how people deal with 100 degree heat. It is much easier to moderate up than cool down.

Getting rid of the wood stove today
When the people I was with and I obtained a lake house it came with a decorative wood stove, then technically it could have been used to heat the kitchen, however it never was.
The previous homeowners never used it, but it was totally wash inside and out.
The woodstove was so small that if used, it would barely provide enough kitchen heating; He buys a fully functional furnace just for the look of it? They also vented it through the wood ceiling and added a stack to the roof. It was able to be used however was worthless. It was a pain in the butt removing that furnace as well. It sat on a stone pad that needed to be destroyed with a sledgehammer. Then the people I was with and I had to redo the kitchen carpet due to the hole in the floor, then next the vent had to be removed and the wood ceiling needed to be patched. The stack was removed and roofers had to repair the disfigure, but lastly the people I was with and I had to transfer a cast iron furnace and try to get someone to take it, and our Evansville IN Heating and A/C dealership didn’t want it due to the size. They said no homeowner would ever use it for their gas furnace. I eventually sold it to a guy that wanted a furnace for his hunting shack in Indiana. It was in good shape so I got a deal on it. I just wanted that ugly wood stove though. I am so glad the people I was with and I have that extra space in the kitchen and there are no holes in my ceiling and roof anymore.
